In 2016 she developed a “text coaching” program in an effort to decrease the growing number of patients facing complications involving obesity and cancer. The program, TextFit, has been featured on a number of news outlets such as Fox 2, Gazelle magazine, and St. Louis Argus. In the same year, she was granted The Lifetime Achievement Award from President Obama. Just a short year later Delux magazine named her one of the “50 Most Intriguing Women in St. Louis”. Along with her love for health and medicine, has been an ever-present passion for youth success coaching. As an East St. Louis

Native, she’s worked with young people for over 10 years and in 2018 she authored the book “Educational Athlete: Why Every Successful Student Needs a Coach”. She’s now developing an online platform that speaks to the growing need for educational coaching in a digital age.
